Day 1: Arrive Trivandrum

Day 4: Kumarakom

Day 9: Munnar

Munnar has the highest peak in South India – Anamudi – which towers over 2695m. An assortment of wild life such as the Nilgiri Thar, Nilgiri Langur, Sambhar, Gaur and the lion tailed Macaque are found in the rich tropical forests around. Devikulam – This serene hill township is a nature lover’s retreat. Trout fishing on the Devikulam lake is a major attraction. Day 10: Munnar - Kochi

Day 07: Munnar

The day is marked to explore Munnar. Munnar is a beautiful hill station, which is surrounded by 30 tea gardens. Take a visit to some of these tea gardens. You can see women plucking tealeaves, who carry bamboo baskets on their back. The other places you may tour the nearby Lockhart Gap, lakes and streams. The other places you visit in Munnar include the Mattupetty dam and lake and Rajamala, the natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr, a rare mountain goat. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Munnar-Periyar

After breakfast, proceed to Periyar. Periyar is well known for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax and refresh. Late in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the Periyar Lake. Elephants are the most popular attractions of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Periyar-Cardamom House

After breakfast head to a spectacularly beautiful location—the Cardamom House, which is about three hours drive from Periyar. The Cardamom House is located in a picturesque site and is an ideal place to enjoy nature. Overnight at Cardamom House.

Day 10: Cardamom House

The day is marked to enjoy the hospitality of the Cardamom House. You also stroll down the Athoor village. Enjoy the beauty of the area on your stay at Cardamom House. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Cardamom House-Madurai

After breakfast, take a short drive to temple town of Madurai. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Relax and refresh. In the afternoon, take sightseeing tour of Madurai. On your tour of you visit the Meenakshi temple and other temples. You also visit the bazaars in Madurai. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Madurai-Chennai

Day 01 : Cochin - Munnar

Arrive Cochin airport and transfer to Munnar (135 kms -4.30 hrs). Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi- 2695mts). Check in at the hotel. Visit tea estates. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Munnar

After breakfast full day visit of Munnar. Visit of Eravikulam National Park,the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr ( Hermitragus Hylcrious) -the mountain goat of South India. Visit Mattupatty dam. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 : Munnar - Periyar

After breakfast transfer to Periyar ( 120 kms- 4 hrs). Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the largest wildlife reserves in India, it occupies 777 sqkms of the Cardamom Hills region of the Western Ghatts. Afternoon sightseeing. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : Periyar

Morning game viewing by the boat in the sanctuary, surrounded by the hills. Wildlife includes elephants, gaur, wild dogs, otters, freshwater tortoise and bird species like heroin, kingfisher, hornbill, water and fishbowls can be seen here. Afternoon visit of spice plantations. Overnight at the hotel the hotel.

Day 05 : Periyar - Kumarakom

After breakfast transfer from Periyar to Kumarakom (121 kms 4. 5 hrs). Transfer to the Hotel. Kumarakom near Kottayam (16 kms) is well known for its backwaters and Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary is rich with a number of noteworthy species include the Dater or Snake Bird, Little Cormorant, Night Heroin, Golden- backed woodpecker, Crow Pheasant, White Breasted Water Hen and Tree Pie etc. The season for migratory birds are from November to March. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 : Kumarakom - Houseboat

Breakfast at the hotel. Board the houseboat from Kumarakom jetty. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, dinner next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place.Dinner and Overnight in the houseboat.

Day 07 : Houseboat - Alleppey - Cochin

After breakfast in the houseboat disebark at Alleppey. Alleppey is also known as Vinice of the East because of the narrow canals and backwaters. Transfer to Cochin (70 kms /2 Hrs), check in at the hotel. Afternoon Cochin city tour visiting St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace. Over night at the hotel.

Day - 2 » Chennai (Excursion - Tirupathi,154kms/3.5hours)

After breakfast, proceed to Tirupathi. Lunch at local restaurant Tirupathi is a temple town known for the famous ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara (Lord of seven hills or Balaji, as he is affectionately known ) on the top of the 860mts high Tirumala hills. The temple of Lord Venkateswara is not only believed to be amongst the oldest temples in the country, but also the richest of them all .Legend has it that Lord Venkateswara borrowed money from the divine treasurer Kubera for his wedding expenses. He is still paying back this debt which is why the pilgrims donate generously to the temple funds. In the evening return to Chennai for dinner and overnite stay.

Day - 3 » Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mamallapooram

After breakfast drive to Kanchipuram ( 76 kms/01.50 hrs ) – is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara , Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. Lunch at local restaurant and later drive to Mamallapooram and check in at hotel.
Afternoon visit the city - built in 7th century, earlier called Mahabalipooram, this ancient Pallava port, is today the sight of several antique sculptural marvels. In this ancient seaside town , shrines and huge sculptures cut-out of rocks more than 1200 years back during the reign of Pallava Kings in the region can be seen. The rock carvings depicting mythological episodes - of demons, Gods and animals in battle and others - are truly poems in stone. Day - 4 » Mamallapooram - Tiruvannamalai - Pondicherry

After breakfast drive to Tiruvannamallai(112kms/03hrs)- a pilgrim centre with an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. After breakfast drive to Chidambaram(65kms/1.5hrs) also called as Thillai, which has the famous Nataraja temple with the root of the sanctum-sanctorum covered with golden plates is located in the centre of the town covering an area of 40 acres. In this temple, postures from the Bharatnatayam form of dance are depicted in sculpture. Natraja is Lord Shiva as a cosmic dancer. After lunch at local restaurant, drive to Thanjavur (104kms/03hrs) enroute visiting the Brass factory at Kumbakonam. Tanjore once the capital of Chola Kings, has the Brahadeswara temple(or the big temple of God).The temple tower rises to a height of 15mts from a square base of 29 mts and then tapers off, making a total of 66mts.Checkin, dinner and overnite at hotel .

Day - 7 » Tanjore - Trichy (54kms/02hrs)
